Worried about your child's concentration or behaviour?

Perhaps they struggle to focus, cannot sit still, act before they think, or find school much harder than it should be. Perhaps a teacher has raised it. Or perhaps school says all is well, but home feels exhausting and you sense something is not quite right.

These can be signs of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). A careful assessment with a specialist doctor can tell you whether it is ADHD, or something else, and what will help.

You know your child best. What you have noticed matters, and it is the starting point of every assessment we do.

Families usually come to us when a child:

  • struggles to focus, follow instructions or finish tasks
  • is restless, fidgety or constantly on the go
  • interrupts, blurts out or acts without thinking
  • loses things, forgets things and finds organising hard
  • is falling behind, getting into trouble or losing confidence at school
  • is anxious or low because everyday things feel hard

Why families choose BZ Clinic for a private ADHD assessment

Our doctors are consultant paediatricians, not psychiatrists. That means they are trained in children's general health as well as ADHD, and look at everything that might be affecting your child.

Consultant paediatricians

Doctors trained in children's general health as well as ADHD, so we look at the whole child: sleep, growth, hearing and anything else that might be going on.

Face to face, in West Byfleet

Every appointment is in person, in a calm consulting room above West Byfleet GP Health Centre.

QbCheck included

Dr Lisa Wall, Consultant Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician at BZ Clinic

Dr Lisa Wall

Consultant Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician

Clinical Lead for Surrey Developmental Paediatrics since 2017, with over 20 years in neurodevelopmental paediatrics. Seeing new patients at BZ Clinic from November 2026.

About Dr Lisa Wall

Both our doctors are NHS consultant paediatricians, regulated by the General Medical Council (GMC). They work for an NHS provider that is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and both their NHS and private practice are appraised and audited every year through that NHS employer's appraisal system. For this reason BZ Clinic is not currently required to register with the CQC.

This may change following the government's recent review of ADHD services, and we are monitoring it closely. All our assessments follow NICE guidance and every appointment is face to face.
